A workspace designed to inspire

After nearly three years of designing for everyone else from a dining room table, finally creating my own dedicated workspace feels incredibly special.

Like many people who work in creative industries, I adapted during busy years of projects, house-building and everyday life by balancing samples, drawings, laptops and endless cups of tea across spaces that were never really designed for focused creative work. It worked, but I always knew I wanted to create somewhere more intentional.

This study has been a long time coming.

For me, a workspace should do more than simply function well. It should influence how you feel. The best spaces encourage clarity, creativity and calm, even on the busiest days. Every texture, tone and detail within this room has been carefully considered; not just through the lens of a designer, but as someone who genuinely needed a place to think, create and feel inspired.

The result is a space that feels calm, layered and quietly restorative. Soft tones, tactile materials and thoughtful lighting all work together to create an environment that supports concentration without ever feeling clinical or cold.

I think there’s often a misconception that home offices need to feel purely practical, but in reality, the spaces we spend time in have a huge impact on productivity, mood and creativity. Good design can completely change how a room feels to work in.

What I love most about this space is that it reflects exactly how I believe interiors should feel: comfortable, considered and personal. And this is even more perfect as it has plenty of room to store samples and designs.

And honestly, now I’m finally sitting here working in it, it feels even better than I imagined.

If you’re thinking about redesigning your own workspace or creating a home that feels more thoughtful and cohesive, I’d love to chat.
